Play & Learn is a family-owned childcare and early learning centre in Upper Coomera, offering nurturing care, play-based learning, and school readiness programs from babies through to Pre-Prep. Unlike large multi-centre chains, we focus on just one centre — ensuring every decision we make puts children and families first. We created the first Play & Learn centre in 2005, and with over 20 years of experience running family-owned centres, you’ll see and feel the difference in care, quality, and community.
At Play & Learn, we believe childhood should be full of wonder, discovery, and joy. Our family-owned centre features oversized rooms and a huge outdoor playground with a bike track, dinosaur garden, climbing areas, and a water park. Indoors, children explore with modern resources like interactive whiteboards and iPads, guided by the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines. We proudly exceed NQS standards, with more staff than required, plus an onsite midwife and cook. As parents ourselves, we know how important it is to feel confident that your child is receiving the very best care. This was exactly what inspired us to open our first Play & Learn centre back in 2005. When searching for care for our youngest daughter, we found that most centres didn’t seem to offer the right balance between education and play. We wanted something different — a place where children could thrive and learn while still experiencing the joy of childhood.
At Play & Learn, our philosophy is simple: children learn best when education and play go hand in hand. As your child grows with us and eventually leaves for “big school,” we want them to be not only well prepared academically, but also confident, curious, and happy.
This belief touches every part of our centres — from the way our playgrounds are designed, to the delivery of our curriculum, to the way our educators nurture each child’s independence and creativity. Most importantly, it guides us in selecting staff who genuinely love working with children and share our commitment to creating a safe, fun, and inspiring environment.
